session, held today, Jan. 11, 18 and 25 will be at the junior varsity

baseball field at La Canada High and will be coached by George

Tibbetts, Tom Parker and Lindsay Parker.

Tibbetts is the current softball coach at Flintridge Sacred Heart

Academy, and Parker guided La Canada to the 1995 CIF Southern Section

Division IV title, thanks to his daughter Lindsay, who is one of the

greatest pitchers ever from this area.

After her Spartan career, she went on to win a national

championship at Fresno State University.

The fee for the series of four sessions -- which begin at 9 a.m.

and end at approximately 1 p.m. -- is $40 if paid by Saturday.

Otherwise, the cost is $50.

Also, there will be a free coaching clinic on Jan. 4 beginning at

9 a.m. Players arriving for the first session should get there around

11 a.m.

In other LCJBSA news, the organization will realign its divisions.

The Pixie Division is now for grades kindergarten through first,

Rookie is 2-3, Junior is 4-5 and Senior is 6 and up.
