Woman carjacked outside Baja Fresh

A 21-year-old Laguna Niguel man has been arrested on suspicion of

carjacking a Sunland woman at a Foothill Boulevard Baja Fresh,

authorities said.

Bobby Black is suspected of taking the woman's new Toyota Camry as

she was getting into it about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of

Baja Fresh, 2637 Foothill Blvd., Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Sgt.

Kristin Aloma said. Black and the victim fought briefly over the

keys, until he pushed her aside.

Then he and another woman, who has not been arrested in connection

with the crime, took off traveling south on the Glendale (2) Freeway

at speeds of 80 to 100 mph. CHP officers found them about five

minutes later.

Black is being held at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station in

lieu of bail. The victim was not hurt during the carjacking, Aloma

said.
