Business seminar to focus on small business
LOS ANGELES -- An all-day workshop sponsored by the Glendale-based
Service Corps of Retired Executives and the Small Business
Administration will be from 8:15 to 3 p.m. May 13 at the SBA
business information center at 3600 Wilshire Blvd., Suite L-100.
The seminar will focus on record keeping, taxes and legal
requirements, marketing and insurance. The cost is $20.

Branch names change after merger
GLENDALE -- CalFed bank branches in Glendale have been renamed
"Citibank" following the merger of the two banks.
Branches were converted in five phases over two months.
In Los Angeles County, 88 banks were recently underwent name
changes, officials said.
The merger took place in November.
Montrose mixer to be held
MONTROSE -- A mixer sponsored by the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber
of Commerce will be at 7 p.m. May 7 at The Mix, 2612 Honolulu Ave.
Mixer tickets are $3 at the door for members and $5 for
nonmembers.
