A Glendale man has pleaded not guilty after being accused of giving

away methamphetamine from the gas station where he worked.

Shumon Islam, 28, was arrested Friday after Glendale Police

officers received an anonymous tip that someone was allegedly selling

drugs out of the Mobil gas station at 1700 W. Glenoaks Blvd.,

Glendale Police Investigator Joe Allen said.

After the department received the tip, patrol officers stopped a

car coming from the station and found the passengers had

methamphetamine, Allen said. The passengers allegedly claimed they

had gotten the drugs at the station.

When vice/narcotics investigators searched the station, about a

quarter ounce of methamphetamine, a digital scale and plastic baggies

were found, Allen said.

Islam entered his plea Monday.
