Two men arrested in two alleged DUI collisions

Two men were arrested on suspicion of causing traffic accidents while

under the influence of alcohol in unrelated incidents.

At Brand Boulevard and Monterey Road on Saturday, a 55-year-old

Glendale man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the

influence. The man was reportedly driving too fast and rear-ended a

car, which began a chain reaction, police said. Four vehicles were

involved in that accident.

At San Fernando Road and Brand Boulevard the same day, a

52-year-old Arleta man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the

influence after he collided with a car because he was driving too

fast, according to police reports. One passenger in that accident

complained of pain in his lower back area, police said.

No one else was hurt in either accident, according to police

reports.
