Two men lead Glendale Police in chase across three cities

Two Pasadena men were arrested Monday on suspicion of grand theft

auto and robbery after Glendale Police discovered the van the men

were driving was stolen.

Glendale Police ran the license plate of the van that Robert

Lopez, 27, and Jesus Flores Jr., 23, were driving in and found

Pasadena police wanted that car in connection with a purse snatching

that happened two weeks ago at a Pasadena Target store, Pasadena

Police Lt. Tom Pederson said.

Officers chased the men south on the Glendale (2) Freeway into Los

Angeles and back north, Glendale Police spokeswoman Officer Leticia

Chang said. The men drove onto the Ventura (134) Freeway, exiting in

Pasadena. They reportedly stopped their van and gave up in the 100

block of North Garfield Avenue, in front of Pasadena City Hall.

Lopez and Flores were being held Monday on $100,000 bail, Pederson

said.
