Wednesday. The victim was not found when police were called to the
scene but officers located him later in an adjacent apartment
building, Glendale Police spokesman Sgt. Kirk Palmer said.
It was not known Friday if a gun was recovered and the motive for
the shooting is still under investigation, Palmer said.

Whole Foods collecting food, gifts until Monday
NORTHEAST GLENDALE -- Whole Foods Market will collect food and
gifts through Monday for a family adopted by two Glendale Police
programs.
The department's Students Training as Role Models, and Cops for
Kids programs adopted a single-parent family and her six children,
all 13 and younger.
A tree holding gift tags for the family will be at Whole Foods.
Canned or boxed foods and wrapped gifts with their corresponding tags
will be accepted until Monday.
Whole Foods Market is at 826 N. Glendale Ave. For more

Man found with alleged stolen property
LA CRESCENTA -- A transient man was facing charges Friday of
possessing drugs and stolen property after police stopped him in the
Park and Ride lot on Lowell Avenue.
A small bag of methamphetamine, 126 pagers, 80 cell phones and 30
cell phone chargers and batteries were found on Jeffrey Michael Leto
after police stopped him Thursday in the Park and Ride lot at 3930
Lowell Ave., according to police reports.
It was not known Friday where the electronic devices came from,
Glendale Police spokesman Sgt. Kirk Palmer said.
Leto was being held Friday on $20,000 bail at Glendale City Jail.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.

Police investigating stabbing at Maple Park
SOUTHEAST GLENDALE -- A 17-year-old Burbank boy was recovering
Friday from stab wounds after a fight at Maple Park.
No one had been arrested Friday in connection with the stabbing,
which happened about 7 p.m. Thursday at Maple Park, 820 E. Maple St.,
Glendale Police spokesman Sgt. Kirk Palmer said.
The boy was taken to Glendale Memorial Hospital, where he received
stitches for several cuts on his chest and his right arm, police
said.
The boy had driven to the park with his cousin to confront another
boy about his female cousin, according to police reports. The boy the
cousins wanted to confront allegedly insulted a female cousin.
The investigation is ongoing, Palmer said. Anyone with information
