CaliFlorida Bowl to feature two locals

St. Francis seniors Andrew McIntyre (DE) and Chase Navarro (WR)

will participate in the prestigious CaliFlorida Bowl V, which pits

the best high school seniors from California and Florida against each

other.

The game will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Moorpark College. Tickets are

available through Ticketmaster or are $12 at the gate.

Falcons to put on alumni match

The Crescenta Valley High girls' soccer team will play its alumni

for the second time in three years at 11 a.m. Saturday at home.

Any alumni player wishing to participate should call former CV

Coach Reggie Rivas at 257-4515.

Tolog JV team continues to excel

The Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy junior varsity girls' soccer

team improved to 9-0 on the year after a 2-0 victory against local

counterpart Crescenta Valley on Dec. 23.

The Tologs have allowed one goal on the season.

Rosemont succeeds in Run for Fun race

Rosemont Middle School competed in the Amateur Athletic Foundation

of Los Angeles Run for Fun Meet at Griffith Park on Dec. 13.

More than 1,600 boys and girls, ages 10 through 14, participated in the event. Rosemont's Michael Sheridan won the 13- and 14-year-old

boys' 2,000-meter race in 6 minutes 51 seconds.

In the girls' race for the same division, Brianna Curtis came in

third in 8:01.
