'Big Bounce' falls flat on its face

Move along folks, nothing new to see here. "The Big Bounce" isn't

exactly a bad film, but if you have seen a caper film in the last 10

years, chances are you have seen this movie before. Based upon the

popular Elmore Leonard novel, the film is standard fare all the way

through.

to rob $200,000 from his former boss on the island of Hawaii. Before

we know it, double crosses and a bloated climax are upon us.

Like we didn't see that one coming.

Despite the help from a rather large ensemble cast -- including

Charlie Sheen, Morgan Freeman and Gary Sinise -- the film's lack of

humor and interesting characters keep this movie from floating above

the water.

If you have to see something light, fluffy and instantly

forgettable this winter, you can do a lot worse than "The Big

Bounce," but for caper connoisseurs this one will disappoint.

"The Big Bounce" is rated PG-13 for sexual content, nudity,

violence and language.
