Tologs tie, 1-1

GIRLS' SOCCER

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 1, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 1: The

Tologs scored in the 79th minute to tie Monday's Mission League match

on the road.

Katie Woods scored off a corner kick to send the match into

overtime, after Notre Dame (11-8-2, 3-5-2 in league) opened the

match with a goal in the 32nd minute.

Flintridge Sacred Heart (14-5-4, 3-3-3) outshot Notre Dame, 21-6,

but still remains a point behind West Hills Chaminade (10-6-4, 4-3-2)

for the final automatic playoff spot in league.

The Tologs close the season against league front-runner North

Hollywood Harvard-Westlake at 5 p.m. Wednesday at home. Flintridge

Sacred Heart needs Chaminade to lose to Woodland Hills Louisville

(11-7-5, 6-2-1) and has to at least tie to secure a playoff spot.

Holy Family 2, Bellarmine-Jefferson 1: The Gaels improved to

4-11-1 with Monday's nonleague victory at the Glendale Sports

Complex.

Sarah Mancilla and Carolina Rangal scored for Holy Family.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL

L.A. Bishop Conaty-Loretto 43, Holy Family 32: The Gaels finished

the season with a Horizon League loss at the Glendale YMCA.

Jasmine Viray led Holy Family (7-13, 3-7 in league) with 14

points, and Melanie Figueroa added nine points and 16 rebounds.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

L.A. Valley College 92, GCC 50: The Vaqueros dropped to 10-12

overall, 4-5 in Western State Conference Southern Division action

following Friday's road loss.

GCC began the week with a 64-44 road loss to West L.A. College on

Wednesday.

COLLEGE SOFTBALL

GCC 8, Taft College 0: Cassie Acosta had three hits Sunday to lead

the Vaqueros in a College of the Desert Tournament game.

The Vaqueros (2-10) received two hits from Cindy Torres and a

double from Veronica Patini. Pitcher Vanessa Lira (2-7) picked up the

victory, as the Vaqueros finished 2-4 in the tournament, which began

Saturday.
