Brand Boulevard Art Festival - More than 60 fine art and fine craft booths will line two blocks of Glendale's principal downtown thoroughfare April 17 for the Brand Boulevard Art Festival. Oil paintings and watercolors, pottery, jewelry, photography and music boxes are just a few of the creative products that will be available for display and sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the 100 and 200 block of North Brand Boulevard. Farmers Market - La Cañada's Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Beulah Drive.

Harvest Market - The Montrose Harvest Market, sponsored by the Montrose Shopping Park Association, is held every Sunday - rain or shine - on Honolulu Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

CLASSES & LECTURES

Tai Chi - A tai chi beginners class begins at 8:30 a.m. every Friday at the First Congregational Church of Glendale, 2001 Cañada Blvd. The cost is $4. For more information, call 243-2109.

'Gender and Youth...' - As a part of Pride Month, celebrated at Cal State L.A., Riki Wilchins, executive director of GenderPAC (Gender Public Advocacy Coalition) based in Washington, D.C., will present a lecture about the discrimination and violence caused by gender stereotypes. The event is free and will be held on April 8 at 7 p.m. in the Los Angeles Room, located on the third floor of the University Student Union. A book-signing and reception will follow the lecture.
