June 18, 2004

Don't miss the 21st annual La Cañada Presbyterian Church Pops Concert on June 18, 19 and 20.

The La Cañada Presbyterian Church Summer Singers and many soloists are combining under the direction of Albert Eddy to present the "Many Faces of Love."

They will present such love songs as "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You;" "When Will I Be Loved?" "If I Loved You;" from the musical "Carousel;" "The Way We Were;" "I'll Never Fall in Love Again," from the musical "Promises, Promises;" "Stardust;" "Bill Bailey, Won't You Please Come Home?" The Beatles' "And I Love Her;" and for coffee lovers, "Java Jive."

Tom Burrows is back with a piano medley of love songs. Kemp Smeal, the LCPC pianist/organist, will play his arrangement of "Love is a Many Splendoured Thing."

An ensemble that includes Smeal on piano, Dan Schnell on drums and Tim Emmons on bass, accompany Eddy and the choir.

The Seafarers and Voyagers will provide refreshments, and proceeds from refreshments will be used for each group's charitable projects.

The 8 p.m. concert is presented on the patio of La Cañada Presbyterian Church. Tickets are $10 presale or $12 at the door. You may purchase tickets at the church office at 626 Foothill Blvd. Childcare during the concert is provided free of charge.
