'Annie' Shoots Her Way in

Marlys Marsteller, director of "Foothill Musical Theatre" is thrilled to be working with many of her previous students, graduates of La Canada High School, in their production of "Annie Get Your Gun."

"These kids are all grown up now, and I'm so glad they have stayed interested in theatre and are excited about performing together again," said Marsteller.

The show stars Michelle Cundey-Morgan as Winnie; Vince Kazzi as Charlie Davenport, and Rachel and Adam Fazzi as two of Annie's siblings; and Brian Ecker as Tommy;

Cundey-Morgan was involved each summer with Foothill Summer Theatre from age 9 until she left for college. This included shows such as "Annie," Oliver," "The Music Man" and "Big River."

Former student Fazzi was also a member of Foothill Summer Theatre as a featured dancer in "Brigadoon" and "Pajama Game." While attending La Cañada High School he held leading roles in "Grease," "How To Succeed in Business," and was co-director of "A Street Car Named Desire."

With Foothill Summer Theatre's production of "The Music Man," Ecker starred as Charlie Cowell. He currently produces and performs in his own public access show, "Toy Box," which includes drama, sketch, improv, and comedy.

The revised edition of "Annie Get Your Gun" opens Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. at Lanterman Auditorium in La Cañada. Performances are Oct. 2 at 8 p.m., Oct. 3 at 2 p.m., Oct. 8 at 8 p.m., and Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $15. To order tickets or for more information, call 248-0650.
