Caltrans restores center median on Angeles Crest
LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE -- Angeles Crest Highway through La Canada
Flintridge has a new look.
The California Department of Transportation has removed a
guard-rail system, large crash cushions, concrete pads and their
foundations from the center median just north of the Foothill (210)
Freeway. The guard rails were delivered for use in Mayor's Discovery
Park at Foothill Boulevard and the Glendale (2) Freeway.
The project is part of Caltrans' median restoration project.

Cancer support group formed at Glendale Adventist
NORTHWEST GLENDALE -- The Cancer Center at Glendale Adventist
Medical Center has started a free support group for cancer patients
and their families. The next meeting is from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in
the Cancer Center Conference Room, Glendale Adventist Medical Center,
381 Merrill Road.The support group is for patients who are first
hearing their initial diagnosis, are in the middle of treatments, in
recovery or planning the next steps.
