some new challenges," Sessman said.
Sessman was chosen from a pool of candidates because of her
willingness to tackle projects and see them through to their
completion, said City Manger Mark Alexander, who interviewed the
applicants for the position and hired Sessman.
"I also was also looking for someone that would be a good fit with
our organization," Alexander said.
The city clerk is the official record keeper of the City Council
and oversees elections. The clerk tape records meetings and handles
other clerical duties as well.
Wahlsten, whose last day with the city is Dec. 10, will hit the road in a 37-foot motor home after the holidays. Wahlsten and her
husband will spend three years on the East Coast, living in their
motor home, she said.
"We will travel up north when the snow melts and down south when
it starts falling, and hopefully we'll be able to avoid any
hurricanes," she said. "This has been a delightful community and it's
been fun."
