JAMES ROBERT DAVIDSON

James Robert Davidson died Jan. 4, 2005. He was 86.

Davidson was born Feb. 28, 1918 and lived in Glendale for 56

years.

He served as a captain in World War II and the Korean War. He

worked at Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries from 1952 to

1992, after which he retired as vice president of horticulture.

Davidson belonged to the Jewel City Kiwanis and was their charter

president.

He was active with the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, the Days of

the Verdugos Assn., the Heart Assn., the American Red Cross, the

Rose Float Assn., Glendale Beautiful and he was a former president

of the Turf Grass Assn.

Davidson is survived by his wife, Johnnie Davidson.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Old North Church, Forest

Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive.
