SCIENCE LABS TO
BE REMODELED
The school board approved a $259,700 contract with G. Voskaian
Construction Inc. to remodel the science labs and restrooms at La
Canada High School.
WHAT IT MEANS
Beginning next month, the company will begin to remodel classrooms
and restrooms at the school's science building. Classes will be held
in temporary buildings in the student parking lot.

DISTRICT OFFICIALS ARE ON THE MOVE
The school board approved the appointment of a Surplus Advisory
Committee that will organize the sale of one of the district's unused
properties.
WHAT IT MEANS
The school district will move its offices to a larger space next
year. Its offices at 5039 Palm Drive are too small to continue
district business. State law requires that prior to the sale or lease
of property, a committee must be appointed to advise the board on the
disposal of such property. The committee will be made up of school
district personnel and parents of students in the district.
