Howard Crosby Vivian

Former La Cañadan Howard Crosby Vivian died Feb. 3, 2005. He was 79 years old.

Most recently a resident of Las Vegas, the retired Jet Propulsion Laboratory engineer had called La Cañada home for 38 years.

He was born Oct. 20, 1925 in Oakland. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Jamalea C. Vivian of Las Vegas; son Douglas of Las Vegas; daughter and son-in-law Linda E.V. and Patrick Mc Donald of Mesa, Ariz.; and daughter Susan G. Vivian, also of Mesa. He also leaves his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Wanda Vivian of Las Vegas and two grandchildren.
