CV Track Teams Compete in Pasadena Games

Members of the Crescenta Valley boys' and girls' varsity track and field teams performed well at the Pasadena Games held last Saturday at Pasadena City College.

In boys' events, CV's Rusty Whisman placed second in the 1,600 meter race with a time of 4:17.13 and took fourth in the 3,200 meter event with a time of 8:39.23.

In girls' events, CV's Keaton Ray placed fourth in the high jump with an effort of 4' 8" and seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 32". The Falcons' Shelby Pock came in 16th in the 1,600 with a time of 5:26.98, Lindsay Chessum placed seventh in the pole vault with an effort of 7'6" and Ashley Snyder took 11th in the discus with a toss of 91' 1".

The CV 1,600 relay team of Claire Harrison, Callie Perry, Nicole Podnek and Lauren Chramosta finished second in that race with a time 4:13.
