PTA parents are making plans for the school's annual

walk-a-thon/wheel-a-thon fundraiser, a popular springtime happening

that means so much to the students who take part. Open House night

will be May 4.

Glenoaks Elementary

Proceeds from a recent school foundation-sponsored golf tournament

are benefiting the computer lab. Students are readying their acts for

the annual school talent show at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

Horace Mann Elementary

Educators from Kidspace in Pasadena are visiting all fourth-grade

classrooms, conducting special grant-funded lessons that will

culminate in a field trip to the museum on Thursday.

Parents are organizing the school's first ever dinner dance and

silent auction to raise money for drama, music, dance and art

or no cost.

High school information and registration night for both Glendale

and Hoover-bound students and their families will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, on the Roosevelt campus. Information on both summer school
