Taggers Target Foothill Boulevard Businesses

May 06, 2005

Glendale police are searching for the person or people responsible for tagging several La Crescenta businesses on and around Foothill Boulevard.

According to a report, the owner of Lloyd's Auto in La Crescenta called police April 27 to report his building had been spray-painted overnight. The report states several other businesses also were targeted, including Shakey's Pizza, the former McDonald's building, Just Tires, Crescenta-CaƱada Pet Hospital, La Crescenta Montessori School, Crescenta Valley Lock & Key, Eagle Allstate Auto and Subway.

The report continues the tags were "Wik," "Taxer," "Ifac," "Irock," "fu-k," "tops," "seak," and "amok."

Glendale Police Department Officer Jerry Uebel, a La Crescenta resident who works out of the Montrose COPPS Station on Ocean View Boulevard, said the taggers are new to the area. He said he believes they came from out of town and tagged buildings down Foothill Boulevard.
