Butler, Kylie Mulligan and Brittny Dow combined to pitch a two-hitter
and strike out 10 to lead Western Studios. Western Studios scored
eight first-inning runs and finished the contest with 14 hits.
Johnson and Edwards had three hit and two hits, respectively.
Mulligan reached base safely five times, including twice with hits.
Dow and Megan West had two hits each for Western Studios, which also
got hits from Caitlin Deering, Butler and Emma Vine.
Johnson, Deering, Brianna Akahoshi and Flanna Borgeson-Lake played
well defensively for Western Studios.
Muir-Chase 15, Sierra Pacific 0: Baillie Kirker struck out five in
the circle in leading Muir-Chase to the easy victory.
Kirker's defense played well behind her, contributing to the
shutout.
Katie Studebaker and Kirker each tripled in the victory.
Devon Zerebko and Jessica Dieny also pitched for the winners.
Muir-Chase 9, JC Heat 1: Baillie Kirker went the distance in a
terrific outing, striking out nine.
JC Heat had just two hits in the contest.
Michelle Duenay doubled twice and drove in a run. Stephanie
Ziemann had an awesome day, going four for four with a double and
triple. She also scored four runs and played a stellar game at short.
Kirker added two doubles at the plate and drove in three runs.
Kelsey Chambers and Kim Kellam played strong games defensively.
Minors
Critters 13, Joselitos 3: Hannah Cookson struck out eight batters
for the Critters in a game at Montrose Park.
Jessica Morena also pitched for the winners and added a double.
Danni Khatchetourian hit her fourth home run of the season and
also added a triple and single.
Elena Leon also singled, and added a double and Amanda McNamee
finished with two hits.
Hailey Cookson, Shayla Machuca, Sydney Potrykus and Natalie Casey
all gave terrific efforts in leading the Critters to victory.

Panda Express 7, Angels 4: Bethany Brown and Bernadette Allard
both tripled for the Angels and Whitney Syms added a double.
Cisalee Luce and Melanie Henson each singled for the Angels.
Rotary 8, Montrose Travel 7: Esther Pitarka had two hits for
Montrose Travel, including a double.
Nicole Wilson added a gold-glove-like effort at second base.
