Coach John Goffredo will conduct his 27th annual Basketball Camp at Crescenta Valley High's old gym from June 27 through July 1.
The camp will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the gym, located at 2900 Ramsdell Ave., La Crescenta.
The camp is geared for both boys and girls ages 6-15. The cost is $250 per person.
Six times named Coach of the Year, Goffredo said the purpose of the camp is to help each participant become the very best player he or she can be.
While the boys' varsity basketball coach at CV High, Goffredo amassed an overall record of 656-285, a 70 percent winning average.
Coach Goffredo's son, Jimmy Goffredo, a former basketball star with the CV varsity basketball team, will again assist his dad with the camp.
Now in his sopomore year at Harvard, Jimmy Goffredo plays for the men's basketball team.
The camp will feature skills training, drills, evaluations and play time. There will also be guest speakers, awards, trophies and T-shirts.
An awards ceremony will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on July 1. Every camp participant will receive a trophy at the ceremony.
Participants shold wear a T-shirt and shorts. Parents are advised to send money with their child for the snack bar.
Each camper will receive a basketball camp shirt, which should be wore at camp every day, and a detailed evaluation of the participant's skills.
