Glendale Elks Lodge #1289 will sponsor the 11th annual Charity Car

Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the lodge, 120 E. Colorado St.,

Glendale. There will be cars ranging from 1914 Ford Model T to custom

modified street cars, including a 1955 Chevy sedan. Breakfast and

The Glendale Symphony Orchestra presents its annual "Christmas

Celebration Gala" at 8 p.m. at the Alex Theatre, 216 N. Brand Blvd.,

Glendale. Maestro Norman Henry Mamey will lead the musicians in

selections from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker," a holiday rendition of

Mozart's "Overture to the Marriage of Figaro," the orchestrations of

former Glendale Symphony conductor Carmen Dragon and more. Tickets

Glendale Centre Theatre presents "The Sword in the Stone" adapted

by Craig Sabin with music by Chris P. Bacon at 11 a.m. Saturdays at
