The Los Angeles Lakers announced the signing of former UC Irvine star

Adam Parada Thursday.

The 7-footer, who averaged 12.3 points per game during his senior

season at UCI in 2003-04, was signed after the Lakers waived Vlade

Divac, a disappointment in his second go-around with the team.
