Governor Arnold's Big Four Reforms

November 04, 2005

I cannot agree with Glendale City Councilman Fran Quintero's recommendation that the city of Glendale oppose Proposition 74.

This measure simply increases a teacher's probationary period from two to five years. What's wrong with that? We need more time to find out how good these new teachers are.

I would suggest that Councilman Quintero and the other voters in California consider the recommendations for these propositions from our finest state senator, Tom McClintock, who will be running for Lieutenant Governor at our next general election.

Senator McClintock has recommended a "Yes" on every proposition, except 78, 79 and 80, next Tuesday.
