Five Acres Foster Family and Adoption Agency invites prospective foster and adoptive parents to a series of training classes beginning Saturday, Jan. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2055 N. Lincoln Ave., Pasadena.
Through the training model called PRIDE -- Parent Resources for Information, Development and Education, potential foster and adoptive parents are taught the special skills necessary to protect and nurture children in need.
Led by Hilda Boulware, Five Acres foster care and adoption training coordinator, and Ivon Favella, the course consists of four consecutive Saturday classes (24 hours) and is required for foster and adoptive care certification.
