Flintridge Preparatory School's Dance Department will present its winter dance concert on Thursday, January 19. The program, a showcase of student-choreographed works, will feature solo and group compositions and a variety of dance styles.
This will be the second of Prep's dance shows to consist entirely of choreography by students. Some of the pieces have been choreographed collaboratively by an entire dance class, while others have been created by individual choreographers. The program will include Advanced Dance class projects that use live choral, instrumental, and spoken-word accompaniment. Three of the pieces from this performance will be chosen by a panel of teachers to be featured in the school's spring dance concert.
The Student Choreography Showcase will be held in the Norris Auditorium on the Flintridge Preparatory School campus, 4543 Crown Avenue (corner of Crown and Foothill), La Cañada Flintridge. Curtain time is 7:30. Admission is free.
