Auditions will be held March 18 and March 19, for all parts for the summer 2006 Foothill Summer Theatre production of "Grease." Come join us this summer as the theater company celebrates its silver anniversary with a little "Greased Lightning." The renowned summer program will once again offer students the opportunity to perform in a full-length Broadway musical under the direction of some of the finest performing arts teachers in Los Angeles.
Foothill Summer Theatre will hold auditions for "Grease" on Saturday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Flintridge Preparatory School, 4543 Crown Ave. Callbacks will be held Sunday March 19.
Well-known British actress, director, and choreographer, Zoë Bright, will direct the show. Bright directed Foothill Summer Theatre's last three hit shows, "Les Miserables," "Kiss Me Kate" and "Sweeney Todd." Amazed audiences could not believe that they were watching a student production. She will bring her incomparable teaching skills to 50 lucky students who will make up the cast of one of Broadway's most popular shows. "Directing the students of Foothill Summer Theatre has become a very important part of my life. I am constantly inspired by the student's willingness to learn, to work hard and deliver a professional caliber performance after only twenty-eight days of rehearsal."
