DreamWorks reports earnings

Glendale-based DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. has announced earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ending Dec. 31.

In the fourth quarter, the company reported net income of $63.2 million, or $0.61 per share, bringing net income for 2005 to $104.6 million or $1.01 per share .

These results compare to the fourth quarter of 2004 when the company recorded net income of $192 million, or $1.99 per share and net income of $333 million, or $4.05 per share for the full year 2004.

Company officials said fourth-quarter earnings were driven by home video sales of "Madagascar," which finished among the best-selling home video titles of 2005.

Revenue for the fourth quarter of 2005 totaled $172.9 million. "Madagascar" contributed $152.3 million of revenue, driven mostly by home video sales.

Revenue from the animated feature "Shark Tale" contributed $5.7 million in the quarter. Remaining revenue for the quarter came from library and other films, which contributed about $14.9 million, reports said.

Local firm purchases property

Glendale-based American Realty Advisors have acquired The Quadrangle, a mixed-use, office-retail development in the Dallas/Fort Worth office market.

The193,970-square-

foot property features an eight-story office tower and includes six two-story office , a company news release said.

The Quadrangle is a landmark within Dallas, which has recently experienced a boom in residential and retail development.

American Realty Advisors is an investment advisory firm and a leading provider of investment management services to institutional investors.

The Firm's portfolios include office, industrial, and retail properties across the nation.
