Soroptimist International of the Verdugos is hosting its prospective new member reception "Reach for the Stars" and Planetarium show at the Glendale Community College Planetarium on Friday, March 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The planetarium is located at 1500 N. Verdugo Road in Glendale. Reservations for event are required so to provide the required campus parking pass. Cost is $15 per person and includes a dinner, Soroptimist presentation and a live digital star field planetarium show (this show is typically not available to the general public).
Soroptimist International of The Verdugos stands for positive change and increased worldwide awareness. The group encompasses the city of Montrose, La Crescenta, La Cañada Flintridge, Crescenta Valley, as well as Burbank, but like to think that its arms reach around the Earth . . . and now up into the stars . . .
