The Annual Golf Tournamentwas scheduled at Verdugo Hills Golf Course yesterday on Thursday, April 20. The Chamber's special thanks go to Rick Dinger of Crescenta Valley Insurance, who has chaired the Tournament for the past nine years. Also helping make the tournament a success were Montrose Travel and Continental Commercial Group, sponsors at the major level, and silver sponsors Citizens Business Bank, J's Maintenance, attorney James Bates, Systems & Methods, Southern California Edison, Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Andy's Transfer & Storage, and Taylor's Prime Steaks. Proceeds go to our scholarship fund.
Mark May 3 on your calendars for a dual mixer with Crescenta Valley Chamber celebrating Cinco De Mayo. The evening festivities will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Foothill Nissan at 333 Foothill Blvd in La Crescenta. Members $5; non-members $7. Enjoy food, refreshments, drawing prizes and networking.
Then, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 6 in the 2300 and 2400 blocks of Honolulu Avenue in the Montrose Shopping Park, is the first Art Walk & Sale of 2006. There will be 50 fine artists, the largest participation to date, demonstrating, exhibiting and selling their works. This is the event to find a very unique Mother's Day gift.
