Some new 'space' opening up

Myspace, a children's furniture and accessories store, has opened on the corner of Central and Lexington Avenues in Glendale.

The store stocks a range of cots, strollers, car seats and bedding as well a selection of mattresses and trendy diaper bags. A baby registry for expecting mothers is also available at the store. Myspace is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. For more information or to make a personal appointment, phone (818) 246 5437.

Chamber event attracts attention

The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce's annual series of Art Walk exhibitions has attracted a record number of vendors, chamber officials said. .

More than 50 artists have signed up to display their work during the first Art Walk starting at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 6 on the south side of Honolulu Avenue.

The chamber usually attracts an average attendance of about 35 vendors, said executive director Liz Church. Many of the vendors are returning artists.

Chamber hosting breakfast meeting

The La CaƱada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce is hosting its quarterly breakfast at 8 a.m. Wednesday at DISH Restaurant, 734 Foothill Blvd.

The guest speaker is Shane Waarbroek, a financial advisor from Merrill Lynch.

Tickets are $15 for chamber members and $20 for non-members.
