Check with immigration authorities to determine employee status. Have you considered that your business and employment practices could be at risk.
Illegal immigrants have no rights in Glendale. Perhaps you should consider dismissing them and sending them home.
What is the policy of the Glendale Police?
In 1996, Congress enacted legislation that states " ? a federal, state or local government entity or official may not prohibit, or in any way restrict, any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service (now Immigrations and Customs Enforcement) information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual."
It is my understanding that California law also mandates that police officers enforce immigration laws and work with the Immigrant and Customs Enforcement.

Concerned about candidate's answer
Regarding candidate for state Assembly Frank Quintero's waffling on the issue of school vouchers ("Teachers rally against Quintero," Saturday), does he seriously expect us to believe that he didn't understand the question when asked if he supports school vouchers?
Did the Glendale Homeowners Coordinating Council so cleverly word the question that it completely eluded this candidate's cognitive powers? Is there any voter in California that doesn't understand the term "school vouchers"?
It's been on the ballot at least twice. Do we want a state legislator representing us that is confused about one of the larger issues facing our state? I think not and I hope the voters agree with me.
