Crescenta Valley wins Samba Invitational: The Crescenta Valley Soccer Club's under-13 squad captured the Samba Invitational with a 1-0 overtime victory against the Conejo Valley Avalanche. Vanessa Capra scored the winning goal for Crescenta Valley.
Crescenta Valley advanced to the title match with 1-0 win against the Claremont Stars. Sylvie Martinez scored the goal off a corner kick by Jordan Royer. Cecilia Martinez and goalkeeper Eirene Kim played well for Crescenta Valley.
Crescenta Valley opened the tournament with 1-0 win against the Desert United Club on a second-half goal by Kelly Clark. Whitney Cowell, Savannah Rhoads and Hallie White turned in good performances for Crescenta Valley.
The squad then played to a scoreless tie with the Conejo Valley Avalanche. Hannah Gerald, Danielle Molina, Lisa Lim and Olivia Sierra played well for Crescenta Valley.
Crescenta Valley in Cal-South National Cup: The Crescenta Valley Soccer Club's under-16 team squad suffered a 2-0 loss to the Fountain Valley-based Wolfpack SC in a Cal-South National Cup match at the Lancaster National Soccer Complex.
Anya Rosen, Richelle Mascaro, Elena Torres, Melania Moradian, Katie Shelly and Sarah Halle played well for Crescenta Valley.
