College's Baja science program wins award

The Baja California Field Studies Program at Glendale Community College was one of seven U.S. college and university programs honored for outstanding international initiatives by the Institute of International Education at a recent conference at the United Nations in New York.

The program earned a 2006 Andrew Heiskell Award honorable mention for Innovation in International Education in the "Study Abroad" category.

The recipients were cited as institutions that provide innovative programs and services that make out-of-country study more accessible to a broader student population.
