Patrick McDonnell, son of Suzanne and Bob McDonnell of Glendale, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Troop No. 101, which is sponsored by Incarnation Catholic Church in Glendale.

To complete the rank requirements, Patrick restored and repainted more than 100 yards of a wall along an athletic field.

His scouting honors include the Ad Altare Dei Catholic religious award, Order of the Arrow and numerous High Adventure awards for hikes.

He is graduating with honors from Loyola High School where he was captain of the water-polo team.

Patrick plans to attend the University of San Diego as a scholarship student with an undeclared major.

Andrew Resendez, son of Art and Sylvia Resendez of Glendale, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Troop No. 101, which is sponsored by Incarnation Catholic Church in Glendale.

For his Eagle project, Andrew aided the Theodore Payne Foundation in construction of a new nursery for housing plants native to California.

Scouting honors include senior patrol leader, Order of the Arrow and three High Adventure awards for hikes.

Andrew is a graduating senior at Clark Magnet High School. He plans to attend Cal State Northridge and pursue his interest in writing.

Claire Serxner of La CaƱada Flintridge has graduated from Trinity University with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Danielle M. Maravilla of Burbank, Brent A. Schackmann of Burbank, Kristie A. Finch of Glendale and Michelle S. Jackson of Glendale, who are students of Pepperdine University in Malibu, have been named to the national dean's list for the 2005-2006 school year.

John H. Lee and Haroutun Abrahamian, both of Glendale, received their medical degrees from the University of Vermont.
