La Crescenta Resident to Conduct Matador Baseball Camps at CSUN

Steve Rousey, a La Crescenta resident and baseball coach at Cal State Northridge, will host the Matador Baseball Camp at the college this summer.

The first session will take place from July 17-20 from 9 a.m., to 2:30 p.m. each day and from Aug. 7-10 and Aug. 14-17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The sessions will take place on the college's baseball field.

The July session will cost $240 while the August sessions will come to $260 apiece. Included in the cost will be lunch and a snack.

The camp, which is aimed at children ages 6-14, will include instruction in hitting and fielding and other areas.

At the end of each day of camp, hitting instruction will be offered at $20 per hour. This must be paid for in cash.
