La Crescenta man missing in Iraq

A 56-year-old La Crescenta man serving in Baghdad, Iraq, with the Iraqi American Chamber of Commerce is missing, and is believed to have been kidnapped by gunmen along with a group of more than 20 others, according to reports.

Raad Ommar is founder and president of the chamber.

Officials from the U.S. Department of State could not confirm any details about the abduction.

Ommar founded the organization with a group of other Iraqi-American businessman in 2003, as a way to forge strong business ties between the United States and Iraq.

Three arrested in In-N-Out attack

Police arrested three 17-year-old Los Angeles boys on Saturday in connection with a fight at the Brand Boulevard In-N-Out on Friday that left another teen in serious condition.

The three teens ? whose names could not be released because they are minors ? were charged on Tuesday with assault with a deadly weapon, Glendale Police Officer John Balian said.

They are believed to have been part of the group of boys that challenged another 17-year-old Los Angeles boy to an altercation, allegedly over a girl, Balian said.

During the fight, the 17-year-old victim was hit and fell to the sidewalk, hitting his head on the pavement, Balian said.

He was transported to Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, where he underwent surgery late Friday night, Balian said.

He is in serious condition, he said.

The three teens who were arrested are being held at a juvenile detention facility in Los Angeles.

They will be arraigned today.
