More than 20 women will be honored at this year's Women in Business Awards luncheon set for Sept. 7 at the Castaways in Burbank.
State Sen. Jack Scott, Assemblymember Carol Liu and Assembly Majority Leader Dario Frommer will present the honorees at this seventh annual event.
The outstanding leaders to be honored were chosen for the award based on nominations from the communities of the 21st Senate District, 43rd and 44th Assembly districts.
The names of the winners, by category, are: Arts and Entertainment, Julia Rodriguez-Elliot, Elisa Garcia-Rodriguez; Businesswoman, Wendy James and Marley Majcher; Corporate Businesswoman, Diana Bont and Zita Lefebvre; Empowerment, Women's Care Cottage; Junior Businesswoman, Brandi Marrow Armstrong; Women in Law, Batra Puja and Annie Hovanessian; Most Inpirational, Sylvia Tchkmakjian and Yvonne Burton; Non-Profit Employee, Vivian Gonzales-Rogoff and Jeanne Murset; Non-Profit Executive Director, Camille Lomabardo, Stacy Sun and Shanna Vaughn; Women in Science, Susan Kane and Nazeli Charchian, M.D.; Tami Ginsburg Award for Exemplary Employee, Jennifer Richards and Susan Woodnick.
