Glendale's Dreaming of Roses fundraising event will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the KABC Studio Facility, 500 Circle Drive, Glendale. Food and beverages from more than 40 restaurants of the area will be served as the Citrus College Blue Note Swing Orchestra plays. The band will also be joined by Monty Aidem presenting a tribute to Frank Sinatra. Seats on this year's rose float will be auctioned off as well as vacations and sports and entertainment memorabilia. The Descanso Gardens presents its fitness walks and yoga programs, with morning classes from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Mondays, Sept. 11 to Nov. 13, and Wednesdays, Sept. 13 to Nov. 15, and evening classes from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 12 to Nov. 14, and Wednesdays, Sept. 13 to Nov. 15, at 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge.
