La Cañada Presbyterian:

Newsong, a youth ensemble at the church, made its widely acclaimed debut this year on Youth Sunday. This group will sing on a regular basis in all three morning worship services performing music of all styles.

Newsong will participate in the 2006 Christmas Concert and other exciting events throughout the year. All junior and senior high youth are welcome to participate.

Rehearsal times are Sundays from 5:45-6:45 p.m. in the Sanctuary and Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

There are many stages to divorce recovery, but only one first step. Facilitators John Andersen, M.Div., MFT, and Anne Peck, lay counselor and experienced group facilitator, invites the community to "share with people who can share your loss."

At the Divorce Recovery class, the instructors will help participants sort through their feelings and find hope once again. The class will help people rediscover someone they might not have known for some time: themselves.

Most importantly, the class will help put people in touch with the One who has always known them— the God who loves everyone despite their circumstances.
