LOVE RIDE WORK BEGINS AT MIDNIGHT

It was midnight and the members of the Glendale Sunrise Rotary Club began to set up the outdoor stoves and barbecues to serve breakfast to the Love Riders on Sunday morning at the Harley-Davidson of Glendale dealership.

The first pancakes were served at 4 a.m. to the hungry riders who started to get in position to participate in the 23rd annual Love Ride.

The club estimated that it served more than 600 pancake breakfasts to the riders and their friends, and to people who just came to watch the festivities at the start of the ride to Lake Castaic. The ride activities were centered around the Harley-Davidson of Glendale dealership, 3717 San Fernando Road, Glendale.

All the proceeds from the sale of the pancake breakfasts will support the Hoover High School Band by the Rotary Club.

Glendale Sunrise Rotary Club meets at 7 a.m. every Friday at the Hilton Glendale Hotel, 100 W. Glenoaks Blvd. Glendale.

For more information, call Zainul Abedin at (818) 547-1330.
