Home Gift Boutique — Sunday

Sunday, Dec. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. The Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) and Latin American Studies are sponsoring a Peña at Glendale Community College in the J.W. Smith Student Center Conference Room. Proceeds from the event will go toward book scholarships for the new student organization Voces de Manana. The event features live Andean music, Mexican and Bolivian folklore dance presentations as well as books and CDs, arts and crafts and Latin American food. A Peña For Book Scholarships —

Tuesday, Dec. 5, afternoon. The College Women's Club of Pasadena will be entertained by the delightful music and voices of the Choral Belles. This all volunteer women's choral group has been delighting audiences throughout Southern California with music from Bach to Broadway since its founding over 30 years ago. They have performed at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and Dodger Stadium. Both groups sponsor scholarships for young women throughout the area. Saturday, Dec. 16, at 8 p.m. Presented by the Angeles Chorale presents, featuring The Los Angeles Collaboration, organist Julian Revie, and surprise guests. The program will include holiday music from around the world, with favorites such as White Christmas, O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen, and the Glorias of John Rutter and Randol Bass. John Sutton conducts.
