La Crescenta Presbyterian:La Crescenta Presbyterian to Host Children's Gift Workshop

December 01, 2006

This month, La Crescenta Presbyterian Church will host the perfect opportunity for kids to make gifts for their friends, family, teachers, and even pets.

On Saturday, Dec. 9, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., kids in first through sixth grade are invited to the annual Children's Gift Workshop.

For just $15 per child, children can choose from at least 20 gift items to make, decorate and personalize for everyone on their list. They will leave with a bag full of already wrapped and tagged surprises, and the satisfaction of knowing they have gifts to give that are just from them.

Parents can make reservations for their child to attend the workshop by calling the La Crescenta Presbyterian Church no later than Dec. 8 and letting them know how many children will be attending. The daytime telephone number is 249-6137.

Parents should not bring kindergarteners or a "helper" for their child. Youth from the church will be on hand to assist with all crafting, wrapping, list-checking, and anything else the morning will bring. Parents should have children wear old clothing and come with their shopping lists.

The gift workshop registration will begin in the lower courtyard of the church and move to Koopman's Hall on the lower level.

La Crescenta Presbyterian Church is located at 2902 Montrose Ave. in La Crescenta.

For more information, call Children's Ministry Director Rosa Hopkins at 249-6137.
