The Glendale City Council officially approved the date of April 3 for next year's municipal election.
The election will be consolidated with the school board and the Community College board of trustees.
Two seats are up on the council, those currently held by Mayor Dave Weaver and Councilman Rafi Manoukian.
Already announced as candidates are Montrose businessman John Drayman and school board member Greg Krikorian. The top two candidates will be elected, with no runoff.
Filing for the election will be accepted Dec. 11 through Jan. 5 in the office of the city clerk.
Candidates will furnish campaign statements that are translated into Spanish and Korean by the city, at the expense of the candidate.
