Grand-scale show, featuring 54 magnificent horses and 37 artists continues at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, through January 28.
President and artistic director Normand Latourelle announced the six additional performances, he wants to provide additional opportunities to see Cavalia before it begins its European tour, where it has already scheduled engagements in Brussels, Belgium opening March 8 and Amsterdam, Holland, opening May 3. Preparations for traveling to Europe are being made as the Orange County engagement continues.
The opening night performance was a big success in other ways as well. The performance benefited Return to Freedom, the wild horse sanctuary, which raised $12,000 with the help of Cavalia. The funds raised are enough to feed 200 horses for one full month. The performance also benefited staff, contributors, volunteers and clients of the J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center.
