Cal Phil kicks off Music, Martinis and The Maestro

2007 Cal Phil Series Opens Sunday Jan. 14 with Mozart Divertimento

January 12, 2007

Cal Phil Music, Martinis and The Maestro expands to six concerts in 2007, offering the same refined yet lively music experience it has for three years — chamber music and cocktails with Maestro Victor Vener and the California Philharmonic Chamber Soloists.

Like a good cocktail, these concerts take a diverse array of ingredients and blend them together to make something that is full of taste and zing. Have a fascinating chat with the conductor, enjoy the unique historic ballroom setting, intimate music and your favorite refreshments.

All concerts take place Sunday afternoons in the lush surroundings of the intimate Romanesque Room of Pasadena's Green Hotel, and start with Maestro Vener's popular Talks With The Maestro prior to each concert. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and mingling with musicians. All concerts begin at 3 p.m.
