With the help of several people outside the store, police reports said she was able to wrestle the man to the ground on the sidewalk and hold him until police officers arrived on the scene.

Man threatened with bomb scare
A Glendale man received a bomb threat on his answering machine Tuesday, causing police to do a sweep of his home and a Brand Boulevard business.
The man, whose information has not yet been released by officials, received the message — which stated that a bomb had been placed at both his home and a business in the 400 block of North Brand Boulevard — at about 2 p.m., and reported it to police, Glendale Police Officer John Balian said. Police dispatched several units to the locations.
In the message there were noises that sounded like children laughing in the background, Balian said.
There were no evacuations, and no bomb was found, Balian said.
The individual who got the call has no connection with the business, Balian said.
