MABRY NOTCHES ALL-

MWC ACADEMIC HONOR

Crescenta Valley High graduate Makenzie Mabry was one of 27 San Diego State student-athletes named to the fall 2006 academic All-Mountain West Conference team in early February.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and be a starter or significant contributor to their team.

Mabry, a freshman biology major, is a member of the cross-country team and is also a distance runner for the school's track squad.

She graduated in 2006 after helping the Falcons' girls' cross-country team to its first appearance at the CIF-State Meet. Mabry, who ran track in high school also, was a member of three Pacific League title cross-country teams.
